This is a great opportunity for an individual looking to grow their career in payroll.  We are looking for a detail-oriented, energetic and positive person who is looking to develop their career in the life science sector.

Key Responsibilities include: 

 
Audit employee pay records and reconcile totals by department, locality, state, etc.
  • Entry of payroll data
  • Assist with audits of payroll records including SOX, internal records, workers compensation, tax filings and related payroll documentation.
  • Verify and maintain current knowledge of IRS, Social Security Administration regulation and taxation in states where PerkinElmer has business operations.
  • Serve as liaison with third party vendors to ensure payroll processing accurately reflects company specific pay policies.   
  • Assist in responding to employee inquiries and requests regarding payroll and tax matters.
  • Partners with the payroll team with processing of pay policies for 3,000+ employees, (i.e., vacation, LOA, disability, workers compensation, benefit accruals, PTO accruals, garnishments, government regulations, withholding exemptions, etc.).
Job Requirements :
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent desirable.
  • 2+ years related payroll experience.
  • Multi-state payroll processing with local taxes desired.
  • Hands-on Ceridian experience preferred, CPP certification a plus.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills;  Interpersonal and team skills.
  • Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced results driven environment.
